Our Privacy Policy
Privacy Summary
In App Store privacy-label terms, this app may collect identifiers, purchase-related data, and product interaction data. Some of this data may be linked to your account when you sign in or use subscription features. We do not use this data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
1. Sign In with Apple and Account Access
This app uses Sign in with Apple to authenticate users. We do not request or store your Apple ID password. Apple may provide an anonymised user identifier, and if you choose to share them, your name and email address may be made available through Apple’s sign-in flow. That sign-in state is used only to manage access to app features and account status.
2. Local Device Storage
To keep you signed in between launches, the app stores your Apple sign-in user identifier in the iOS Keychain on your device. This local storage is used for session restoration and access control.
3. Searches, Filters, and In-App Actions
The app lets you search, filter, and open aircraft movement data inside the app. Search matching is still performed locally on your device, but certain usage actions are now logged for analytics, including screen views, filter changes, search terms, search suggestions tapped, result counts, movement cards opened, empty states, and taps on informational sections.
4. Analytics and Usage Measurement
The app uses Firebase Analytics to measure how features are used and to improve the product. Analytics events currently include screen views, menu navigation, picker and filter selections, date range controls, search activity, chart interactions, spotting actions, paywall and restore interactions, data fetch success or failure, premium status changes, and informational page section taps. These analytics are intended to be product-usage data rather than advertising data.
5. What Analytics Data May Include
Analytics payloads may include values such as the screen name, feature name, filter or picker choice, typed search value, search suggestion selected, result counts, aircraft operator, aircraft type, whether a movement had a comment, whether you are signed in, whether premium access is active, app version, and app environment. This means the app may process identifiers, app interaction data, and diagnostics-style operational metadata. We do not use analytics for precise location tracking, contacts, photos, or advertising profiles.
6. Data Sources and Service Providers
Aircraft movement data is loaded from a remote database for display in the app. Some usage and app-status information is transmitted to Firebase Analytics so we can understand app performance and feature usage. If you use subscription or entitlement features, RevenueCat receives the app user identifier used for account matching together with subscription and entitlement status needed to manage premium access.
7. Data Linked to Your Account
When you sign in or use premium features, some data may be linked to your account or app user identifier. This can include sign-in state, premium status, purchase and restore events, and analytics events associated with app usage while signed in.
8. No Tracking or Advertising
The app does not request your location and does not use precise location tracking. The app also does not include third-party advertising SDKs, does not serve personalised ads, and is not designed to track you across apps, websites, or services owned by other companies.
9. Children’s Privacy
The app is not designed to knowingly collect sensitive personal information from children. However, because the app now records product analytics and account-status events, parents or guardians should understand that limited usage data may be processed when the app is used.
10. Changes to This Policy
If app functionality, analytics, or data handling changes, we will update this Privacy Policy so it remains aligned with the current behaviour of the app.
